Designer Henry Holland has won a Scottish Fashion Award for his use of Harris Tweed in House of Holland’s AW11 collection.

The 6th Annual Scottish Fashion Awards took place tonight, Wednesday 15th June 2011, at the Glasgow Science Centre.  Guests arrived at the purple and tartan carpeted black tie event in style (as twit pic’ed by Henry Holland) courtesy of Mercedes-Benz West of Scotland.  Judges included Brian Duffy, (President of Ralph Lauren Europe), Dolly Jones (Editor of Vogue.com), Caroline Rush (CEO British Fashion Council),  Sarah Mower (European Editor US Vogue & Ambassador for Emerging Talent BFC), Paula Reed (Style Director Grazia), Hilary Alexander (Fashion Director Daily Telegraph) and the whole evening was chaired by event founder & producer Tessa Hartmann.

The award is the second for House of Holland as the label previously won “Best use of tartan award” for its 2008 collection.  Pictures of the award and the event can be seen on Henry Holland’s twitter feed.
